The venue is a stunning 10,000 sqft former industrial warehouse, with lots of the details kept intact whilst breathing new life into this beautiful old building. Look out for the original brickwork and the cranes, juxtaposed with a disco ball – the result is a welcoming space filled with character, both old and new. This huge, epic food hall is an awesome collaboration between Independent Birmingham, Baltic Market & Buddha Belly. This venue is their love letter to the city, and to the independents they have championed for over 13 years.

Introducing SYSTM modular office furniture

SYSTM is a completely integrated office furniture range with matching desks, meeting tables, storage and planters. The major thing that sets it apart is the level of detail our designers have gone to.

Every piece of furniture has every choice of size and finish you need and absolutely everything combines seamlessly. SYSTM is astonishingly easy to build or dismantle and it looks right every time.

The SYSTM office furniture range is designed around 12 finishes matching our Alto height adjustable desks and Opto modular tables, including colours, grains and patterns, all for the same price. Frames are available in black, grey and white.

Desks

SYSTM offers a choice of six desk widths from 1000mm to 2000mm and 3 depths: 600mm, 700mm or 800mm all available with straight back or scoop back for cable management. Cutouts for Metalicon in-surface power can be provided. Additionally end of bench desks are available to fit exactly across the bench width.

SYSTM desk extensions match the desk sizes and provide a useful solution to creating benches of desks, either inline or back-to-back. The shared leg on the extension is inset to allow more space and provide an improved aesthetic.

Tables

With an equally large choice of table widths and matching extensions SYSTM office furniture offers meeting tables of almost any size for any space with single piece tabletops up to L2400mm x D1650mm. Cutouts for Metalicon in-surface power can be provided.

Storage with planters

SYSTM storage works seamlessly alongside the modular desks and meeting tables. Desk height cabinet and bookcase widths match the desk depths for both in-line and back-to-back benches. Choose hinged or sliding doors for cabinets with or without locks.

Cabinets and bookcases are available in 2 widths and 4 different heights with hybrid units available too. Storage depths and heights match SYSTM lockers so they can be easily integrated together. Choose a base with glides or a plinth box option.

A wide choice of handles, including plywood and leather options allow interior designers to include an accent finish to your workspace design. Cabinet doors offer a lockable option for security. Cupboards include an optional wardrobe hanging rail.

Planters are available to fit every width of cabinet and bookcase. Choose robust waterproof liners for real planting or our alternative realistic artificial planting.

SYSTM lockers work seamlessly alongside the modular storage cabinets and bookcases. Locker depths and heights match SYSTM cabinets, cupboards and bookcases so they can be easily integrated together. Lockers are available in multiple column widths and 5 different heights to create endless configuration possibilities. 3 different base options are available including glides, panels and plinths.

Locker doors are available plain or with a mail slot option which also includes an internal mail shelf so you can securely distribute staff correspondence. Choose from 6 different lock options including keyless electronic combination locks or RFID. Larger lockers also include an optional internal coat hook.

As well as planters you can easily add single or double width storage cubbies into your locker configuration. Finishes can be mixed or matched to lockers carcass and doors.

Include an optional upholstered seat pad and available in 2 different widths, on single height locker units to create a handy place to perch!

Acoustic desktop screens

Upholstered in a wide range of fabrics from popular manufacturers, SYSTM acoustic screens are manufactured in the UK, manufactured by our in-house team at our Suffolk HQ.

Different fabrics can be specified for each side of the screen, providing greater interior design opportunities. Choose from square or rounded corners.

Brackets are supplied to fit all screens for both single and back-to-back bench desks, and match the desk frame finish. Screens are designed to align tops of screens between SYSTM fixed height desks and Alto height adjustable desks.

Is Formetiq the same as Narbutas? No!

Formetiq is part of Arrow Group, who manufacture Formetiq workspace furniture and Metalicon ergonomic accessories, as well as distributing the Narbutas range.

All Formetiq furniture is separate to Narbutas, and is designed in-house by our development team. Formetiq seating and acoustic screens are produced by our in-house upholstery team. We hold over £10 million worth of Formetiq and Metalicon products in stock ready for fast delivery, mostly on their own vehicles.

What is BS EN 14073?

BS EN 14073 is a European standard that sets requirements for the performance and safety of office furniture storage units such as filing cabinets, pedestals, and bookcases. This standard specifies the design and test requirements for the strength, stability, and durability of these storage units.

The standard sets requirements for the weight capacity of the storage unit, ensuring that it can safely support the weight of items placed inside.

Our Cube steel mobile storage pedestals have been designed and manufactured to meet the BS EN 14073 standard.

Choose from black, white or grey metal in classic (410mm) or narrow (300mm) width. Each storage pedestal includes 2 personal drawers (with pen tray and drawer dividers) and 1 file drawer. Cube pedestals also offer central locking and hidden castors.
